Choose Joy

Scripture: John 15:11- “I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete”.

Are you experiencing joy? When was the last time you loved on yourself? Do you know that you matter?

I am so glad to know that no matter what I go through, that I am loved enough by God to still choose joy. It is imperative that we focus on the good in life. For instance, we are commanded to love one another. Sadness and pain happen when we fail to love one another as Christ has commanded us to. We are nothing without His love. The same love that He gives is the same love that we are able to share. If we remain in His love, we are able to have His joy. The joy that the Lord gives can’t be taken away.

The joy of the Lord is our strength. The world did not and does not give the joy that the Lord gives. So why are you still unhappy? He is all we need. The joy that you are missing can be found in Him. Why are you not fully loving yourself? You deserve to be happy. Be consistent and dedicated in your relationship with Christ and love as He has commanded. When you know whose, you are, you will know that you matter. You will understand that no devil in hell can steal your joy. Choose joy each and every time, you deserve to experience joy every day.

Prayer: God, I thank you for joy. I thank you for happiness. God teach us how to love as you love. Help us to be better stewards in loving others on purpose. Show us your way, when we are wrong. Protect us from the weapons that form and allow us to learn from our selfish mistakes. Help us to be more intentional with our love. We want to make you proud and give your name the glory, for we love with agape love. Help us to always choose joy. Amen.
