Heart, Soul, Mind

“He said to him, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and most important command.”

Matthew 22:37-38 HCSB

How often is it that we get caught up in life that we lose focus of what really matters? Everyone at some point or another has been distracted by nuisances of life. Whether it is on your job, in your family, or maybe even church. Someone or something has irritated you or caused you to become distracted. We’ve all at some point or another have experienced hurt, anger, or frustration. Well let’s focus on what matters most.

When you feel torn and distant, focus on God. Even in the middle of a pandemic, remember where your help comes from. While you’re traveling in your vehicles, know that God is protecting you. When you’re dealing with betrayal, know that God loves you. When facing doubt and uncertainty, trust in God. No matter what the distraction is or what you’re up against, God will never leave you. And always remember to love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. When you keep your heart, mind, and soul on God, He will continue to keep you in perfect peace. God will order your steps, no matter what you are facing. You are never alone.

Prayer: God, thank you! Thank you for your command to love. Thank you for your protection and your peace. Father God, thank you for your love. Please keep our steps ordered and our minds on you. If it’s not for you, remove it from our lives. We give you the honor and glory. In Jesus Name. Amen.
