Scripture: Psalm 27:14- “Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”
Are you impatient? Do you want things to happen when you want them to happen? Have you ever felt like it wasn’t happening soon enough?
There are moments in life when it seems like we are left alone with nothing or no one to see about us in a dark place. Whether it is waiting on that call from an employer or the call from the bank to approve your loan. We all have been waiting on something and it seems that waiting is just too long. Waiting seems as if it never ends. We are captured between wanting, needing, or just seeking. So, what do we do?
How often do we fail at waiting on the Lord? There are moments when we are quick to take matters in our own hand, because we don’t feel like waiting. Well, I encourage you to seek His face, and wait for the Lord. Be strong. You may feel defeated, abandoned, anxious, and even frustrated. Besides, how many times has the Lord waited on you? I encourage you to “Just wait”. He will keep you, protect, comfort, heal, and provide for you. The Lord will give you peace, and a sound mind. Just wait! Don’t get distracted in your waiting. Stay focused, because all of our help comes from the Lord. Your breakthrough is on the way, you just wait and see. Whatever you do, don’t give up.
Dear Lord, give us the ability to wait on you. When we feel left out and abandoned, help us to have faith that you will give us what we seek. Protect us from ourselves and give us the wisdom to do what it is that you will have us to do. We love you Lord and we thank you for your unmerited favor. Thank you for your loving kindness and forgiveness. Lord, thank you for grace. Please help us to wait for you. In Jesus Name. Amen.
