Pack Up

Scripture: Psalm 145:18 “The Lord is near to all who call him, to all who call on him in truth”.

Have you started spring cleaning? How is the declutter going? Were you able to rid yourself of those items that have been occupying great space? Perhaps it is a closet, pantry, garage, or attic. Maybe your basement is overflowing with items that you continue to hold onto because you have an emotional attachment. Well, it is time to pack up those things and remove those distractions from your space.

In the same way, it is important to make room in your spiritual life. It is vital to remove stuff in order for God to have His way in our lives. Is it fair to say that there are some things that have made you become spiritually pre-occupied? Those things could be bad company, addiction, unhealthy relationships, bills, stress, and so much more. Whatever that thing or those things that have been blocking you from getting close to God, it is time to pack them up. This spring cleaning is necessary. It is time for you to make this Spiritual U-Haul intentional. Those distractions can no longer hinder your spiritual life. Make room for God and pack up. Remember, the Lord is near to all who call him, to all who call on him in truth. Call on Him, He wants to hear from you.

Prayer: God, we thank you for being patient with us when we have neglected our spiritual life. Help us to stay the course and finish this race. God, we love you for you are so amazing. Your loving-kindness and mercy are necessary as we continue to press toward the mark. Keep us in your care and protect us from the enemy. Help us to pack up and remove distractions. In Jesus Name.
