Reminder, Keep Going

Scripture: Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” A few months ago, I was driving with my youngest daughter, Hannah. We got to a point during our drive when the clouds started getting dark. Out of nowhere, the rain came rushing as if a flood gate had opened. It started thundering and lightening. We agreed that the storm had caught us off guard for the simple fact that it had been sunny a few moments before. As I increased the speed of the windshield wipers and decreased the speed of the car, it felt as if buckets were being poured on the car. We saw other drivers pulling over and stopping alongside the highway. Hannah and I never stopped, we kept going, and eventually saw the sun after the storm. Just as in that moment of Hannah and I driving on our time together. The same happens in life. We all at some point may encounter a sudden storm. The way to get through the storm is to KEEP GOING. The drivers that stopped, may have stayed until the storm passed. However, we kept going to avoid being stuck in the middle of it. When the storms of life hit, remember to keep going. Be courageous and never lose hope. There’s no need to be afraid, for even in the storm, God is with you. Your reminder in the storm is to keep going. Prayer:God, thank you for the strength you give us to keep going. Thank you for your unmerited favor. Thank you for your presence. You are a loving Father and a faithful friend. Thank you for your grace. We love you and give you praise. In Jesus Name. Amen.
