What's in your bag?

Scripture: I Samuel 17:49 “Reaching into his bag and taking out a stone, he slung it and struck the Philistine on the forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and fell face down on the ground.”

I love the living Word. It continues to flow and give insight. You can read the same scripture and gain a different perspective each time. As many times as I have read the story of David and Goliath, I don’t recall receiving the revelation that what I need to defeat the giants in my life, may actually be in my bag. What an on-time Word, right? What we need in order to defeat the giants in our lives is already in our possession. David was small in stature compared to the enemy in front of Him. David stated in I Samuel 17:45, that he was coming against Goliath, “in the name of the Lord Almighty”.

No matter the Giant in your life right now, you will not be defeated. What’s in your bag? David pulled out a stone. Perhaps you Goliath requires you to have faith, grace, knowledge, the Word of God, or prayer. Maybe your stone isn’t a physical stone, but what you need, God has already supplied. However, it is important that you come against that thing “In the name of the Lord Almighty”. What’s in your bag? You may not be in a battle, but just know whatever you need, is already in your bag. Trust God to be your provider.

Prayer: Thank you God for keeping us focused and equipped for battle. Thank you for giving us the ability to fight in your name. You are so wise and your ways are far greater than what we can imagine. We thank you God for loving us and giving us what we need in the time of trouble. We will continue to magnify your name. No matter what we face in our lives, we praise you for never letting us out of your sight.
