Who are you eating with?
Scripture: “And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with publicans and sinners, they said unto his disciples, How is it that he eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners? When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” Mark 2:16-17 In this scripture we see how the scribes and Pharisees started to question Jesus amongst themselves like some folks do nowadays. When you’re doing the right thing the wrong persons will be the ones talking about you. When you’re helping others don’t become distracted by others. You see the truth of the matter is you know why they are sitting at your table. Folks will sit around and talk about those that need help and why you shouldn’t help them. Don’t let them stop you from blessing those less fortunate. In life, you will see those that have and are well off be given things free for nothing while the ones that need help suffer. It’s time we have them, that need to eat at our tables. Be a blessing to someone that truly needs it instead of cursing them with your negative thoughts. Our table should be a table for healing and helping. Not for those that don’t need our help but make us look good in front of others of the company we keep. Let’s be more intentional with our giving to those that need it. We all have been there a time or two and thanks be to God for those that offered us a seat at their table. Let’s help all to eat and spread Jesus Love. Be intentional not attention seeking. Prayer: God thank you for blessing us. Please help us to be intentional and help those who are need. Help us to be decent. Father, teach us your ways and allow us to be givers. God thank you for blessing us, so we can bless others. We will forever give you the Glory. In Jesus Name. Amen.
